Each luscious green and milky white pearl has its own translucent “window” adding an extra touch of intrigue.
Variegated String of Pearls is a well loved wishlist item for all plant collectors. It's known for its pearl like leaves that are swirled in cream, green, and sometimes even pink and purple colors with the right combination of sun stress and water. The thin, string-like stems trail elegantly and can cascade several feet.
It's a perfect gift for yourself, your family, and all your loved ones with its fascinating look and elegant features. It is more vibrant and striking than actual pearls!
The plant is beautiful in a hanging basket, and can be grown inside the house in a bright airy room, or outside in a protected patio. The plant will purify the air, cleaning up the atmosphere around wherever it is situated. You will need to provide protection from frost.
Variegated String of Pearls is slower growing in comparison to its non-variegated counterpart, due to lacking some of the chlorophyll that completely green leaves possess.

Soil - Any regular succulent potting soil is acceptable for your string of pearls plants, but sandy soil is best. A good choice for this plant is a cactus potting mix. Alternatively, you can use a 3-to-1 mixture of potting soil to sharp sand. These plants are susceptible to root rot, so make sure their soil is well-draining.3 Plant them in a container that boasts ample drainage holes at its base. Terra cotta or clay pots can also help wick away excess moisture from the soil.
Keep the plant's soil lightly moist during the growing season in the spring and summer, then reduce water during the winter months. If you notice the succulent's spherical leaves flattening, it's a good indicator that the plant needs more water. You will likely need to water your plant once every seven to 14 days. Plants in hotter climates, outdoors during the summer, or in porous terra cotta pots might need water closer to every seven days, all depending on rain frequency and temperatures. If the soil is dry to the touch down to the first 1/2 inch of soil, that's a good sign your plant is thirsty.
